de Vere’s 2 de Vere’s Bike Ride 2012

de Vere’s Irish Pub is excited for our first ever de Vere’s to de Vere’s bike ride! We have partnered with local bike enthusiasts to see if we can’t create a great annual bike ride between our two pubs.  This year seemed the perfect year to start with Sacramento being the home of the North American Handmade Bicycle show for 2012.  Rick Houston, a local bike enthusiast,  approached us to create this fun community ride, and we are delighted to announce that we are ready to ride March 3rd 2012!

Here’s a Message from Rick Houston:

“Hi! I’m Rick Houston, the Regional Liaison for the North American Handmade Bicycle Show, and we’re partnering with de Vere’s Irish Pub to bring you the inaugural ”de Vere’s 2 de Vere’s Ride!” Meet us at 8:30am on March 3rd at de Vere’s Sacramento location (1531 L Street) for some swag, courtesy of ClifBar and de Vere’s, (and perhaps a pint of Guinness!).

At 9am, we’ll all leave for Davis and the U.S. Cycling Hall of Fame! Led by the team riders from the Mad Cat Cycling Team, we’ll cross the Causeway and stop at de Vere’s new location in Davis (217 E Street) before heading over to the Hall of Fame. Once there, you’re on your own; stay and peruse the Hall of Fame and Davis for a while, or head back to Sacramento and attend the North American Handmade Bicycle Show. I’ll leave the details up to the good people accompanying the ride! If you’d like to grab a train back to Sacramento via our beloved Amtrak/Capitol Corridor, the Davis station is just down the street! Either way, you should expect to be back in Sacramento shortly after noon, giving you several hours to check our the best bicycles in the world at the NAHBS!”
