Revealed: de Vere’s Fans Dream Burgers

Here at de Vere’s, we’re famous for our 20-ounce pints, “Almost Famous” Irish Coffees, hospitality, and BURGERS. In October, we kicked off Burger Thursdays in conjunction with Burger Junkies, where we serve a different (and truly creative) burger–for only two Thursdays in a row. Fans say we keep outdoing ourselves…we say, when it comes to burgers, the sky’s the limit. That’s why we recently asked Facebook and Twitter fans to describe their dream burgers. Some were so tasty, we just had to share.

“A burger infused with bits of cooked bacon, with bacon on top, with crispy onion strings, and Baconnaise on the bun.” –Paul Cox

“Diced jalapenos, sauteed a bit then put in the burger mix. cream cheese in the middle of the burger. keep fried pickled jalapenos on top with pepper-jack, spicy mayo lettuce and tomato.” –Mark Herman

“A 4 or 5 oz patty made up of a blend of ribeye, brisket, and short rib, with a crispy sear on the outside and mostly pink (and juicy) on the inside. Potato bun toasted in butter. Fully melted *real* American cheese, not those crappy singles wrapped in plastic. Thousand Island style sauce (feel free to update it as necessary), pickles, iceberg, farm fresh tomato. The beef should be the star. Don’t get cute. Add a pint of Guinness and serve.” –Tony Cervo

“Burger 1/3 lb, flame grilled if possible, just pink at center. Top with applewood bacon, blue cheese, grilled onions, on sliced ciabatta bun spread with garlic butter and toasted on flattop.” –Bill Smith

Our "Where I'd Rather Be" Burger: edible flowers, spam steak, mango chutney, Maui onion kettle crisps, bourbon bbq glaze and grilled pineapple.

Our "Thanksgiving Burger": A turkey burger w/ cranberry, gravy, and buns made out of stuffing!

The Lamb Burger: goat-cheese lamb burger w/ scotch-soaked dried cranberries, balsamic mixed greens, tomato & serrano mayo.

    The Lamb burger is easily my favorite option.

    I’m with Tony on this one.

    One of the best burgers I’ve had ever was very beef focused.

    I’ll pay $20+ for a burger that uses premium steak house quality beef cuts.

    If I get to dream, that means a very marbled rib eye that is ceremoniously (double ground) and blended with short rib, topped with a cheddar or American cheese and a soft, freshly baked bun.

    If there’s bacon, make it thick cut and angry with some pepper or better yet, soak the bacon in jalapeƱos for awhile so they’re good and mad, then cool them off with a fried egg on top.
